Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Would an adjustable floor stand be more useful than a fixed overhead wall mount in your room?
N303NW is the exact Floor Stand / Camera only selection. It includes the floor-stand setup, not a wall bracket; its base and cable still need safe placement and follow the manufacturer instructions for the selected setup.

Yes. N303NW is the app camera-only setup. Nanit describes core app features without an Insights plan, but the remote phone path still depends on home Wi-Fi and internet.
Explore this need in the finder →Is one camera for one crib enough, rather than two simultaneous room pictures?
The exact N303NW package includes one camera. It is a one-room kit; do not count another camera or the optional Home Display as part of this package.
Explore this need in the finder →The Nanit Smart Baby Monitor System N303NW is the Floor Stand / Camera only configuration. In Nanit's current product selector, “Camera only” means the bundle omits the optional 8-inch Home Display; the floor stand is still part of this SKU. That difference matters more than the polished app pitch: this is a Wi-Fi camera for parents who are comfortable opening a phone or tablet, not a self-contained camera-and-receiver kit.
A height-adjustable stand, with an installation job of its own
Nanit's current package description for the floor-stand setup lists its Pro Camera, floor stand, a Breathing Band for ages 0–3 months, power cable and adapter, quick-start guide, and a three-month Sleep Plan trial. The exact Shopify product record identifies N303NW as “Floor Stand / Camera only.” A purchaser should still check the selected cart line: adding a Home Display is a separate choice, and bundles can differ in what they include.
The stand's practical advantage is position. Its height-adjustable pole places the camera above the crib rather than on a nearby dresser, and Nanit says the stand can move between rooms. This is not a tripod to leave wherever it lands: the square-base manual includes a U-clip wall bracket and explains how to secure the stand; Nanit also describes the stand as usable free-standing or secured, depending on placement. Follow the instructions for the chosen setup, keep the base and cable out of reach, and re-check placement after moving it. The footprint occupies floor space, and an outlet and deliberate cable route are still necessary.
Phone-first monitoring has a real network dependency
N303NW includes one camera and no parent receiver. The “Camera only” label should not be read as a local screen, and the optional Home Display should not be assumed to be in the box. The normal plan uses the Nanit app on a phone or tablet. Nanit says live video, background audio, sound and motion notifications, two-way audio, and temperature and humidity tracking work without an Insights subscription, but app monitoring still depends on Wi-Fi and internet service. If a router, account, app or connection fails, this kit does not provide the independent, direct-to-parent-unit fallback that a local-radio monitor can offer.
The camera is a fixed overhead view rather than a remotely motorized pan-and-tilt head. Nanit's support materials specify 1080p video, infrared night vision and a 130-degree camera view; those are manufacturer specifications, not an independent picture-quality test. It reports room temperature and humidity in the app, and offers talk-back, but it does not include two cameras for two rooms. The base kit therefore does not meet a request for two simultaneous room pictures. Nor is the camera battery-backed: it is powered by its adapter. The product can remember Wi-Fi networks, but that is not the same as operating without Wi-Fi.
Be clear about the optional sleep features
The included floor package lists a patterned Breathing Band, and Nanit describes camera-based Breathing Motion features that read movement in compatible wear. That is not an under-mattress sensor pad. Nanit explicitly says its products are not medical devices and are not designed to diagnose, prevent or treat a condition, including SIDS. Breathing-motion summaries should not replace safe-sleep practice, adult supervision or medical guidance. The product's separate Sleep Plan trial is also not a reason to assume every insight stays free: Nanit's membership page describes subscription tiers, and features such as sleep history, clips, sleep analytics and cry detection may depend on the active plan after any trial. Confirm the renewal and feature terms before treating them as part of a long-term budget.
Who should choose this exact version?
N303NW is a better fit when the desired view is overhead, a height-adjustable floor stand suits the room, one crib is the focus, and caregivers are happy to use a connected app. It is a poor fit if “works without Wi-Fi” means a local receiver must keep showing video, if a dedicated screen is essential, if the camera must run from its own battery, or if two rooms must remain visible at once. A fixed crib and wall can favor Nanit's N311NW wall-mount version, while a household wanting a dedicated local screen should compare a hybrid such as the eufy E21 or a receiver-based VTech VM901HD. These are different operating approaches, not interchangeable upgrades.
For exact setup and terms, consult Nanit's N303NW product selection, the Floor Stand user guide, Nanit's features available without an Insights plan, the membership details, and the Breathing Motion safety statement. The camera and notification descriptions above are manufacturer information, not measured range, alert accuracy or medical performance.
