Philips Avent Premium Connected: which mount version?
Philips Avent’s current U.S. Premium Connected baby-monitor pages show three product codes that are easy to mistake for finish variations: SCD971/37, SCD971/26 and SCD973/37. The central room-planning difference is the supplied mount. Each package is a hybrid system with one camera, a dedicated parent screen and an app option; the mount determines whether a crib clamp is in the box.
SCD971/37: wall-only installation
The SCD971/37 is listed as wall-mountable, and Philips’ support guidance identifies it as the wall-only version. The family manual lists cable covers, anchors, screws and clamps with the wall-only arrangement. Choose it when a fixed wall location makes sense and the route for the power lead can be secured as instructed. It avoids the need to fit a crib clamp to a rail. It does not offer the 2-in-1 option if you expected to move the camera from crib to wall using the supplied mounting hardware.
SCD971/26 and SCD973/37: 2-in-1 crib and wall options
Philips identifies both the SCD971/26 and SCD973/37 as 2-in-1 mount versions. The shared family guide describes the clamp/pole crib setup and the separate wall setup. It says the mount works best with square crib bars between 15 and 32 mm wide and warns against round or soft rails. The guide also connects installation choice to a child’s development: when a child can pull up or shows signs of standing, Philips recommends moving the camera from the crib attachment to the wall option. This makes mount fit and later repositioning more important than a short feature checklist. A crib clamp is not a reason to put a camera cord or equipment inside the sleep space; follow the full placement and cable instructions.
The exact SCD971/26 technical listing names one pouch in addition to one baby unit, parent unit and 2-in-1 mount. Its app-system list says iOS 13+ and Android 6+; the SCD973/37 listing says iOS 11+ and Android 6+. Compatibility requirements may change as apps update, so check the current Philips app-store listing before buying for an older phone. The SCD973/37’s exact product sheet gives a detailed sound list—five lullabies, five soothing sounds and five white-noise choices—and allows personalized sound recording through the app. These specific list items do not change the fact that both 2-in-1 kits include one camera location.
Shared monitoring features still have limits
All three models list a 5-inch 1280 × 720 parent display, a Full HD 1080p camera, automatic night vision, digital zoom/pan, a room-temperature feature, a nightlight and parent talk-back. The parent unit can link directly to the supplied baby unit without Wi-Fi. A separate app mode uses a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network; remote phone viewing needs internet. Philips’ support material says Cry Translation always needs Wi-Fi, and its manual says the feature works only while the baby unit is connected to the internet. SenseIQ sleep and breathing data requires activation through the app but is also described as available without Wi-Fi after activation.
Do not treat an open-space figure of up to 400 meters as an indoor-range guarantee. Philips also lists 50 meters indoors and warns that walls, floors and interference affect the signal. Its up-to-12-hour Eco-mode battery statement is not a measured continuous-screen runtime. The system is also not a medical device and Philips says it cannot detect every irregularity or breathing interruption. These limits are shared; they do not distinguish the product codes.
Choose by room fit and exact accessory need
For a wall-only camera route, compare the SCD971/37. If you want a crib/wall mount and a listed pouch, read the SCD971/26. If you want the other 2-in-1 product code and its detailed sound/app specification, see the SCD973/37. Before relying on app, mount or sleep-analysis features, use each exact product page and the official family manual: Philips mounting guidance, Wi-Fi guidance and the medical-device disclaimer.
