Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you want an included 8-inch touchscreen as well as the Nanit app?
Yes. This exact VPH311RN bundle option lists one 8-inch Home screen; it joins the Wi-Fi/account path and extends the app rather than acting as a no-Wi-Fi receiver.
Explore this need in the finder →Would a wall camera plus a portable stand and travel case be more useful than a display-only bundle?
The selected bundle copy names both the Flex Stand and Travel Case alongside the Home Display; one camera can be moved, but still needs power and Wi-Fi at the second location.
Explore this need in the finder →Will you use the Home touchscreen together with remote phone access?
Yes. The 8-inch Home screen and Nanit app share the Wi-Fi/account system; remote phone viewing uses internet. The display battery is separate from camera power.
Explore this need in the finder →This version adds Nanit’s 8-inch Home touchscreen to the wall-mounted camera package, while keeping the bundle’s portable Flex Stand and travel case. The screen makes this a hybrid phone-and-display kit, not a Wi-Fi-independent local monitor.
What the selected option includes
Nanit’s product data separates the wall-mounted bundle by finish and by “Camera only” versus “Camera + 8-inch Display.” This assessment is for the second choice: one camera, fixed wall mount, Home Display, Flex Stand and Travel Case as described in the bundle copy. It is one camera kit, not a twin pack. The six SKU-coded wall-display finishes are Green (VPH311RN), Blue (VPH311BN), Gray (VPH311GN), Two Tone Canvas (VPH311KN), Marble (VPH311MN), and Half Moon (VPH311HN). Nanit’s image record maps the same Marble composite to both the Marble and Two Tone Canvas IDs; that image shows Marble, so it should not be read as a photograph of the two-tone case.
The wall mount is the nursery’s fixed overhead arrangement. The Flex Stand gives the same camera another portable position, and the case can carry the kit; neither accessory removes the need for outlet power and a configured network. Plan the wall bracket, cable route and camera angle before installation. At another location, the camera must be moved and set up there; this is not an independent camera with its own battery or a direct local radio feed.
The Home screen is an app extension
Nanit Home is an 8-inch IPS touchscreen listed at 1200 × 1920 pixels. It joins the home Wi-Fi and Nanit account and pairs with the camera. Nanit describes it as an extension of the app, not a replacement for the network path. The included screen therefore does not meet a requirement for video when the router or internet service is unavailable. The camera and the display have separate power paths: charging the display does not power the camera.
The Home manual lists a 4,000 mAh battery, but runtime claims have changed. Later Nanit support gives an estimate of 3–6 hours with the screen on and about 24 hours in screen-off/audio-only use; the April manual gives 3–5 hours and closer to 18 hours, respectively. Brightness and sound settings affect use, and neither source promises a guaranteed duration. Treat the later estimates as guidance, keep the display charging when practical, and do not count on the upper end for an overnight portable session.
The camera’s app route remains available, so a parent can use a phone as well as the Home screen. It uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; remote phone access away from home needs internet. The camera’s published specification is 1080p HD with a 130-degree view and infrared night vision. The wall position is fixed rather than motorized pan/tilt, and the package includes one camera, so this is not a multiroom live-view system out of the box.
Plan membership and expectations separately
Nanit lists core live video/audio and basic camera functions without an active Insights membership. Cry detection and extended sleep insights/history have plan-dependent terms, which can change; a trial does not make those functions free indefinitely. The illustrated patterned wearable is not a box inventory. The selected U.S. variant record does not establish a specific wearable size or quantity, so treat that as unconfirmed when comparing package contents.
Nanit describes breathing-motion sensing as a camera reading compatible patterned wear. It is not an under-mattress pad, a medical monitor or a safety guarantee. Follow the setup and placement directions and continue ordinary adult supervision. A screen, app alert or sleep-history feature cannot substitute for checking on a child.
When the extra screen earns its place
This package makes sense if you want an 8-inch touch display at home, app access when away, and the added Flex Stand/case for moving the camera. If you need only a phone, the camera-only Best Sellers Bundle avoids including the screen. If you want the wall-mounted camera and screen but will not use the travel pieces, compare the V31HNW0 Smart Baby Monitor System: it is the closer display-equipped wall setup without this bundle’s specifically named portability extras. If you need a feed that works without Wi-Fi, choose a direct local monitor rather than relying on the Home touchscreen.
Before purchase, verify the exact selected finish, screen option and included pieces on Nanit’s listing. Confirm that the wall position has a safe outlet/cable route and that the Wi-Fi network reaches the camera. The bundle adds choices for how you place and view one camera; it does not add a second nursery, guaranteed battery time or offline monitoring.
